1.  Mosquito Repellent

My husband and I were walking by a lake a few years ago when we were viciously attacked by mosquitoes.  Remembering that peppermint oil helps scare them away, my husband quickly asked if I had any with me.  Thankfully, I had Soothe with me (an essential oil blend that contains peppermint), and we put it on constantly to get rid of the pesky mosquitoes!

In a former residence, the ants were invading our kitchen.  After carefully examining where they were, my husband realized that they were entering through a hole in the wall.  He purchased ant traps from a local grocery store, but they worked only for a day or two.

Then, I placed 5 drops of peppermint oil in a line where the ants were.  Within fifteen minutes they were gone, and they stayed a way for at least a week.

4.  Digestive aid

Is your stomach upset over something you ate or drank?  Dilute a drop or two of peppermint oil with carrier oil such as olive oil or jojoba oiland rub it on your stomach.
