You feel tired even though you sleep 8-10 hours a night. You are under the weather often and miss important life events and even work. You wonder what is wrong with you.
I know how you feel because that is how I used to feel as well. I tried a few different remedies without any results until I realized that my problem was an overload of toxins in my body. You can read about some of the sources of toxins here.
Summer can be the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors, time with family and friends, and time in a different state or country for vacation. Depending on how poorly you feel, you may be restricted from one or more of these activities.
While summer can be an enjoyable time, a lack of health can actually make you frustrated from all that you cannot do.
1. You need to detox after indulging on sweets and restaurant food on vacation.
While it’s perfectly normal to eat some sweets and treats while you are on vacation, it’s easy to forget the healthier choices. That delicious European cake is fine to eat unless you have more than one piece for dinner two weeks straight.
No matter what your views are on sugar, you know how your feel after you’ve eaten more than you are accustomed to. A cleanse can help you get rid of the accumulated sugar and heal your gut.
Remember, sugar kills your gut and immunity. Go here to learn more about sugar’s effect on your health.
2. Gorgeous weather outside is the perfect environment to exercise.
I don’t know about you, but exercise is best done outdoors. A friend and I enjoy walking inside during the sub-zero temperatures. However, when it’s warm enough, we are outside!
A good cleanse will have an exercise component to it, and it’s easier to exercise outside when you don’t need to wear 5 layers to keep from freezing (if you live in a warm climate, you may not appreciate these words as much, but you probably still have warmer and colder times of the year).
Exercise is important for getting rid of toxins in your body. It also improves your digestion.
3. Warm/hot weather helps detox through perspiration.
In Finland where the climate is cold, saunas abound because the people realize how important perspiration is. If you are blessed to live in a climate that has a warm summer, take advantage of those warm temperatures to help your body perspire the toxins out.
4. You can look better for your holiday pictures coming up.
Yes, holiday pictures may not be the first thing on your mind, but it’s easier to begin thinking about them now rather than the day before. The pictures or cards you send out will be on your friends’ and family members’ refrigerators for a while. You will also save them for your children and grandchildren.
Getting toxins out of your body today can help you look and feel so much better!
5. You can get back into a healthy routine for fall.
Summer is almost synonymous with a lack of routine. Before summer has ended, get back on track eating healthy and exercising by doing a simple nine-day cleanse. You will be excited to continue the momentum caused by this cleanse. The concept of a routine will carry into other parts of your life!
6. You can help to keep illness away in the fall/winter.
Many illnesses have already been going around, and it’s just the beginning. Once the children are back in school, they tend to share generously any germs that they have. Illness will be spreading. However, when you begin to remove toxins out of your system, you can feel better and avoid much of the illness going around.
7. Summer harvest provides abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables to eat.
A cleanse will help you make wiser choices when you eat. Summertime is the perfect time to eat produce from your own garden and/or the farmer’s market. You should be able to make a delicious salad out of spinach, cucumber, broccoli, celery, green onions, cauliflower, and green peppers.
I am just finishing up my second cleanse for this year, and it has felt good to exercise more, eat at home more, and see my skin clear up.
