Thankful Thursday – November 13, 2025

This week I am thankful for the following:

1. Fall

Fall is a beautiful season. The heat and humidity are gone, and some of us see increased energy levels. The leaves turn gorgeous colors, and the days are shorter. To get some extra rest, we can retire earlier and read in bed to relax before we drift off to sleep.

2. Healthy food to eat

There have been times in my life when it was much more challenging to have healthy food to eat. Now my family has several sources of healthy foods, including some local farmers.

3. Sleep

It is refreshing to be able relax enough to sleep well at night. There have been times when I worked too much and did not sleep enough, but most of those days are behind me, thankfully.

4. Fall foods

Eating seasonally is one way to stay healthy, and pumpkins can be made into multiple healthy foods/meals. Go here for a few delicious recipes to try. It’s also a great season to be eating stews and chili.

5. Days at home

Recently I had an errand that took two hours in the middle of the day. It made me realize how thankful I should be to be able to have days at home when I can write, cook, clean, organize, mend, and do whatever else needs to be done!

What about you? For what are you thankful today? Please share in the comments.
